Dr. Travis Howard received his doctorate of Chiropractic from Logan College of Chiropractic in St. Louis, Missouri. He is from a small town in east central Illinois named Rantoul. Prior to college, Dr. Howard joined the Air Force and attended medical technical school at Shepard Air Force Base in Texas. As a medic stationed at RAF Lakenhealth, while in active duty, Dr. Howard was trained in pediatric advanced life support, advance cardiac life support, American Heart Association CPR instructor trainer, nationally registered EMT basic, and all patient care activities related to working in the E.R., in England. The military base had a satellite facility with the University of Maryland European Division, where he started taking his college courses, making the Deans list every semester that he was there. After leaving active duty, he attended Illinois State University in Normal, Illinois, obtaining enough credits to go on to Chiropractic College. During this time, Dr. Howard worked on the Cardiac floor taking care of patients with a range of heart problems, from heart attacks to open heart surgery. In 1999, he was accepted to Logan College of Chiropractic where he received his Bachelor of Science in Human Biology degree and his Doctor of Chiropractic degree, and graduated near the top of his class. Dr Howard has been interested in Chiropractic since childhood due to his mother suffering from migraine headaches. After trying all the medicines and other doctors, she went to a local Chiropractor where her life was changed for the better. He knew from that moment on the power of regular Chiropractic care. He has always dreamed of working in a practice that is more Subluxation-based and focuses on Community Health. He wants to educate as many people as possible about the amazing ways that regular Chiropractic care can enhance their lives.
